The Assam government has announced life insurance cover of Rs 50 lakhs each for all journalists in the state who are reporting during the Covid-19 outbreak. Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal made the announcement. As of April 27, 2020, Assam has reported 35 confirmed cases of the Covid-19. This includes 27 patients who have recovered.
