Additional Information Mizoram : The State Library of Mizoram prepared the draft of the Mizoram Public Library Legislation Bill on 18th August 1985 and put forward it to the Govt. for necessary action on the Bill. At last Public Library Legislation Act was enacted on 5th March 1993. Manipur : The draft of the Public Library Legislation Bill was prepared by Manipur Library Association (1987). The draft was enacted in the Assembly on 1st August 1988 and finally, it was published in the Gazette on 1st October 1988. ​ ​Assam: ​ In Assam, S.R. Ranganathan prepared the draft of the Public Library Bill, which was discussed at the 8th All Assam Library Conference in 1964 in Guwahati.
