Assam Government has launched a new medicine delivery scheme called ‘Dhanwantari’ under which locally unavailable medicines will be delivered. This medicine would be free up to 200 rupees. Please note only those medicines would be made available which are not available at a distance of 10 km from the house. There is a toll-free number-"104" for people to call at. The health department will supply the medicine within 24 hours if it is available within the district. However, the department would need 48 hours to get it delivered from the Regional Center and one week will be required for delivery from outside the State.
