The 68 th Plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) was held in Guwahati, Assam on the 8 th and 9 th Sep. 2019. The NEC consists of eight States ie Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. NEC is a regional institute which is acts as a planning and resource center for North-Eastern India. NEC is the nodal agency for the economic and social development of the North Eastern Region.
