Manas Tiger Reserve is located in the state Assam. Manas National Park or Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is a national park, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve in Assam. It was established in the year 1973 under Project Tiger. It was accorded the status as UNESCO Natural World Heritage site in the year 1985.
