Explanation: Barnadi WLS It is one of Assam’s smallest sanctuaries covering just over 26 sq. km. , located on the foothills of the Himalayas , bordering Bhutan. The sanctuary was once a pathway between the Manas National Park in Assam and Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan. It was recognized as a WLS in 1980 , in particular, to protect Hispid Hare and Pygmy Hog. The Sanctuary is bordered by the Barnadi and Nalapara rivers to the west and east respectively.
